"Barred Rocks" are, in our opinion, one of the most iconic breeds.
Barred Plymouth Rocks were first developed in Massachusetts, and named after the historical site, Plymouth Rock, where the first pilgrims landed. It became the most widespread chicken breed in the United States and remained so until about the time of World War II.
They are most recocnizable by their barred pattern to their feathers. These zebra stipes on the heritage bred chicken are quite different than that of a hatchery strain. You will fall in love. They are a farm favorite, family favorite and a terrific dual purpose bird.
Pre-Orders will begin in November
