The Hatching House

What is The Hatching House....
We started with poultry in 1999 with some local fertile eggs and a borrowed incubator. Soon, chicken math set in and we wanted every breed! Rare breeds, endangered breeds, ornamentals, heritage. We wanted it all. We eventually, dialed it down to our favorites and began the journey to seriously breed to the standards of perfection for each breed. This grew into a passion which lead to us searching for rare breeds, endangered breeds and breeding heritage breeds meticulously to the American Poultry Assc Standard of Perfection. Running out of space, we decided to offer our up birds to the local community. And just like that a small business  was born. We love sharing beautiful birds with our community.

Our birds are incubated, hatched and brooded in an old shed on the farm. We affectionately call that "The Hatching House"
